Moving Heavy Equipment in San Diego
Heavy equipment typically requires special shipping considerations because of size and weight. While some of your equipment may be towed or shipped on a flatbed, shipping bulldozers, cranes, tractors, or other heavy industrial equipment may require a specialized trailer. Heavy hauling may also require permits, escorts and compliance with other local, state, and national regulations.
C & R Transfer’s history and experience supports our reputation as machinery moving experts. C & R Transfer has moved some of San Diego’s largest machines around the county’s tightest corners.
Take advantage of our large warehouse and yard space to store your machinery, when you just need a few more days to prepare for the move or you encounter delays.
Our equipment helps make sure your job is done right. And although we have the latest in moving technology, we know when to accomplish the job using time-tested methods. Our 90+ year of experience allow us to safely and efficiently complete your project.

Preparing to Ship Heavy Equipment
Before the day of the move, you will need to prepare your equipment for transport. We take all of the necessary steps to make sure that your equipment will arrive safely and is prepared for any adverse conditions it may encounter in transit – which are especially important for overweight or over-sized equipment. C & R Transfer will work with you to get all of the necessary permits for the day of the move.
Also, you may need to purchase freight insurance in order to properly protect your machinery. All legal carriers are required to have a certain amount of insurance but they may not provide enough protection. When purchasing heavy equipment freight insurance, make sure you know what your policy covers and how to make a claim should the need arise.
